Bone Stock 'Full Size' 2024 – New Rule Changes

Safety: All cars must have a fire extinguisher in reach of the driver securely mounted, must have door padding, this is not an option, drivers and riders must wear long sleave or protective clothing, gloves, helmet and protective glasses, fire suits recommended.

Bone Stock 'Full Size' 2024 Rules

Car Preparation

Any year of car allowed. No 4×4’s, ambulances, limos, etc.

All cars must remain stock unless a change is specified in the rules.

All glass, plastic chrome and interior must be removed. All decking and rear seating removed in sedans and wagons.

You need a number in bright colors on both sides of the car and at least a 15”x 15” roof sign for scoring.

Original gas tanks must be removed, and a well-made fuel cell or boat tank may be used and must be free of leaks, properly secured and covered.

 

Car Building

No welding besides noted no tilting no body spacers no pre bending at all

Cage:

You must have a 4-point cage in your car. Cage components may be up to 6” materials.

Door bars 60” long max.

All parts of cage must be at least 6” off floor.

A gas tank protector may be used for safety. It must be attached to the back bar and may only be 24” wide behind the tank. It also must remain 6” away from packing tray area.

A halo bar may be used, must come off top side off cage only and bolted to the roof in 2 spots with ½” bolts only

NO down tubes, or kickers

Doors/Tailgates/Trunks/

Doors may be secured in 2 spots per vertical seam with 2 loops of nine wire twisted. Or welded in 2 spots per vertical seam or with a 2×4” plate

Tailgates two 2×4 strap or two spots of nine wire allowed

Trunk lids must be at least 50% in stock location; you may secure in 4 spots total using ,2×4 welded strap or nine wire must be visible to look in trunk if not must have 6” hole cut.

Hoods may be secured in 2 spots with 5/8 all thread through core support no welding or 2 chains with 3/8” bolts but not both

 

Windshield area must have 2 spots of either chain or nine wire for safety

Bumpers:

Front bumper may be welded directly to end of shock or to end of frame. If you remove shocks or bumper brackets to weld to end of frame you are not to cut any of the frame off period: directly to end of frame only. You get no added metal to do this!!!

Bumpers may be swapped from car to car, they must remain stock, may use a 4×4” square or round tube must not extend past fenders bumpers and may not be filled ends must be open may not have any type of loaded bumper.

Front bumper may be attached directly to end of frame with either (2) ½” bolts per rail or welded solid to the end of the frame with NO added metal.

Suspension and Steering:

Suspension must remain stock to the vehicle your running period. You may use store bought spring spacers to get height, but everything must float.

No hydro setups, after market columns or joints ok., Stock  tie rods and tie rod ends only, no exception NO BRACING OR ADDED METAL

Driveline: aftermarket shifters ok, Any motor or tranny may be used in any car.

Stock mounts only when doing a swap (Example: chevy motor to crown vic- stock rubber mounts welded to engine cross member with no added metal period.)

Transmission cross member must remain stock- if you need to relocate you may use 2 pieces of 3” X 3” angle welded to sides of frame and bolt cross member to them using (1) 1/2” bolt per side. Cross members may not be welded solid in the car at all.

MAY USE ½” thick LOWER CRADLE must mount to stock type motor mounts motor mount bolt ½” or smaller no tranny protectors, aftermarket brackets, tranny braces, CRANK PROTECTOR OK, MUST REMOVE SWAY BAR if using crank protector.

Stock Drive shafts only NO SLIDERS.

Stock rear-ends with gears welded only: no bracing or pinion brakes, may swap rear ends may use 2 strands of 9 wire from rear end to frame.no aftermarket or fabricated rear ends.

Steel or ultra bell ok may not touch floor pan hump or firewall may not brace car at all, we are allowing this to save transmissions to cut cost in long run and for safety.

Miscellaneous:

Body must remain stock, no beating quarters over or body creasing period.

Headers are ok.

You may have one battery in car, and you are allowed to have a single battery box bolted to floor using (4) 3/8” bolts.

There will be no cold bending or frame shaping of cars. Body bolts must remain stock. Don’t touch these areas of the car…… You may notch rear frame rails to allow frame to flip up.

Tranny coolers allowed. 

Switch panels to start car are ok, if you use an electric fuel pump, it must be wired so when you shut engine off it shuts off…

PRE-RAN CARS   may run two 4x6x1/4 plates per side allowed were visibly bent and must show were bent, no taco plates must be flat

The radiator must remain in a stock location and may be held in with 2 ratchet straps only or factory bracket for that car.

Wheels and tires Any tire or wheel combo other than no split rims or studded tires, wheel centers and skid steer tires ok.no tires bigger than 16” no foam filled tires

These rules were made to allow for a simple build, DO NOT read anything into them. If your car is built outside the rules, you will have to step up a class……
